Spring practice began this week in the Big 12. Soon, the entire league will be on the practice field. As workouts open, we’re looking ahead to the fall by selecting one newcomer on each Big 12 roster most likely to create excitement when he gets to work. This is not necessarily the best recruit or transfer or the most impactful but the guy who demands your attention when he’s on the field.
The series begins with TCU, which opens practice Friday.
Most exciting newcomer: WR Jalen Reagor
Look past, for a moment, that the SEC signed 19 players -- the Pac-12 signed six, eight went to the Big Ten, seven to the ACC and two with Notre Dame -- who rated higher than the Big 12 top high-school recruit in the Class of 2017.
