Kansas State didn't want to back into a bowl game.
Instead, the Wildcats earned bowl eligibility Saturday evening at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in Manhattan, Kansas, defeating West Virginia 24-23 to finish the season with a 6-6 record. Bill Snyder's team looked in line to make a bowl game if it finished with a 5-7 record, but removed all doubt by winning against the Mountaineers.
Player of the game: Wildcats linebacker Charmeachelle Moore was all over the place in the Kansas State victory, capping it with a fourth-down stop of Skyler Howard with just over two minutes remaining and the Wildcats nursing a one-point lead.
