AUSTIN, Texas -- Walk the tailgating scene outside Texas’ Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium and you’re bound to spot a few imitators with horns on their hoods. To find the real deal, go a few extra blocks south of the stadium and meet the superfan in the parking garage.
The burnt orange and white 1975 Cadillac is by now about as famous as owner Scott Wilson’s streak of supporting the Longhorns.
Wilson will take in his 468th consecutive Texas football game this Saturday. His streak for baseball games will soon surpass 1,000. He’s losing count of the grand total of Texas sporting events he’s attended, but it’s somewhere over 4,500.
