Suspended linebacker never thought about not returning to the Sooners
Not even in the deepest part of his mind did Oklahoma linebacker Frank Shannon ever think that he wouldn’t want to return to the Sooners – even though sometimes he worried that he wouldn’t be able to make it back.
Shannon spoke with the media to only answer “football questions” for the first time Tuesday since he served a one-year suspension following a Title IX investigation in sexual assault allegations following an off-campus incident.
He maintained his innocence through the entire suspension, working out in his hometown of Dallas and attending classes at the University of North Texas at Dallas.
