Moments before fumbling away the ball -- and Oklahoma State Cowboys’ best and final chance of taking the lead over Baylor — Justice Hill broke off a 38-yard run down the sideline that had put the Pokes in position to score.
Hill finished with 122 rushing yards, reviving a Cowboys ground game that’s been largely dormant the last two-and-a-half seasons. In fact, his 122 yards were the most by an Oklahoma State true freshman in the Big 12 era.
But Hill’s two fumbles also severely dimmed the Cowboys’ chances of pulling the upset in Waco, as Baylor went on to score after his second turnover to clinch the 35-24 win.
