David Sills’ fascinating journey has taken another turn.
Sills is transferring from West Virginia after expressing a desire to spend more time at quarterback following his move to receiver as a true freshman. The athletic quarterback-turned-receiver is largely recognized as the recruit who committed to then-USC coach Lane Kiffin in seventh grade. The news was first reported by Matt Welch of dkpittsburghsports.com, who also reports that Sills is planning to transfer to El Camino Community College in California.
“He has decided to transfer to pursue his dream of playing quarterback in college,” West Virginia coach Dana Holgorsen said in a statement.
