Our Week 1 Big 12 power rankings:
1. Oklahoma (previous ranking: 1): The most compelling part of Oklahoma's 56-7 whitewashing of UTEP, other than Baker Mayfield going 19-of-20, was the play of new receivers Jeff Badet, CeeDee Lamb and Grant Calcaterra, all of whom had moments in their debuts. Mayfield is going to need all the help he can get at Ohio State in a game the Big 12 desperately needs after a collectively disastrous opening weekend.
2. Oklahoma State (2): Mason Rudolph's Heisman campaign got off to a sparkling start, as he threw for 303 yards and totaled four touchdowns before taking a seat in the fourth quarter in a 59-24 blowout of Tulsa.
