1. West Virginia’s hellish schedule

Take a look at West Virginia’s schedule to begin Big 12 play: No. 15 Oklahoma, No. 21 Oklahoma State, No. 2 Baylor, No. 4 TCU. Three of the four games on the road.

That’s just ridiculous. Actually, it’s unprecedented: A Big 12 team has never had to play four consecutive games against AP top 25 teams to begin conference play.
