WACO, Texas -- For really the first time all season, second-ranked Baylor looked human in a 45-27 win over Iowa State on a rainy Saturday at McLane Stadium. The Bears jumped to a 35-0 lead midway through the second quarter, but allowed the Cyclones to climb their way back into the game in the second half.
Baylor, however, recovered an onside kick, then forced a fumble to ultimately put the game away with little drama.
What the win means for Baylor: After dropping off 63, 66 and 62 points in their first three Big 12 games, the Bears were probably due to have a performance like this in which they weren't at their best.
