Why Oklahoma's Lon Kruger says it's good Kansas was dethroned as Big 12 champ; Baylor's Makai Mason questionable vs. Iowa State

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas' streak of 14 straight Big 12 regular-season titles ended this season but the media questions remain.

Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger was asked Tuesday if it was good to have a different team on top of the conference this season with Texas Tech and Kansas State sharing the title.

"Nine teams feel that way," Kruger said.

As impressive as the Jayhawks' dominance was, change was good.

"But after a while the other nine wanted anyone but Kansas," Kruger said., "That's a credit to Kansas and the dominance they have."

Oklahoma faces West Virginia in an opening-round game Wednesday.
