Baylor struggled through much of the first three quarters against SMU on Saturday.
It was an impressive showing from SMU and head coach Chad Morris against a top-25 team. Morris, a Texas high school coaching icon who was the offensive coordinator at Clemson before he was hired by SMU, is a coach whose name was brought up as a potential candidate to replace fired head coach Art Briles at Baylor before Jim Grobe was hired as the interim head coach.
