The Washington Redskins are facing a decision — do they pick up the fifth-year contract option for Robert Griffin III or do they decline it and let him hit the open market in 2016. It’s a big decision, considering the team has no proven solutions at quarterback right now and they they will be feeling the effects for years of giving up so much [two first round draft picks and one second round draft pick] for Griffin in the first place.
The option must be picked up or declined by May 3, so right after the 2015 NFL Draft.
