Sherrington: If Baylor boots Starr, don't expect cash cow Briles to follow

Ken Starr apparently won’t be leading a brigade of students onto the field at Baylor football games anymore, the only charge he could muster when it came to the university’s football program. If he’d been as easily routed on Whitewater, we’d have never heard of Monica Lewinsky.

The scandal he’s presided over at Baylor isn’t as big as the one involving the nation’s chief executive, but it bears unfortunate national headlines, just the same.

A couple of media reports indicate Starr will pay for the university’s sins by the end of the month, if not sooner.
