At the risk of coming off like Michael Lewis, who makes baseball (Moneyball) and the recession (The Big Short) so simple even a 12-year-old could understand, as long as it's a 12-year-old Stephen Hawking, here's my recommendation for what ails the Big 12:
Beat better teams.
Or BBT, for the rubber wristbands.
Even if Oklahoma's David Boren and Gordon Gee of West Virginia get their way and increase Big 12 membership to its full complement, it won't fix anything in the short- or long-term. Not if you add the schools they're talking about.
