Seth Russell named national player of the week
Baylor quarterback Seth Russell was named the Walter Camp national offensive player of the week after piling up 640 yards total offense and accounting for six touchdowns in Saturday’s 62-38 win over West Virginia.
Russell hit 20 of 33 passes for 380 yards and five touchdowns and carried 14 times for a career-high 160 yards and a score.
He became just the second quarterback in Baylor history to pass for 300 yards and rush for 100 yards in a game after Robert Griffin III did it against Kansas in 2011.
