The matchup: Give coach Matt Rhule some credit. He predicted that his Baylor Bears, coming off a dreadful 1-11 season and still feeling some sting from the lingering controversy, would be in a bowl game this season. They proved him right, though it wasn’t easy. Baylor needed to win its finale over Texas Tech at AT&T Stadium, and did it convincingly.
