For the Baylor community, football is much more than just a sport.
Head football coach Matt Rhule proved just that last Thursday at the 30th Annual Kick-Off Sports Luncheon at the Baylor Club.
Before Rhule spoke about his aspirations for the upcoming season, assistant athletic director for broadcasting John Morris –– better known as Baylor’s “Voice of the Bears” –– announced two scholarships for local high school students presented by the Chamber of Commerce, followed by the annual Dave Campbell award.
Rhule spoke about the love of football, but more importantly, what it brings to the community.
