After a little over a year in the athletic department, Baylor Vice President and Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades is pleased with the state of the football program as it prepares for its season opener on Saturday.
Rhoades was appointed by former interim president Dr. David Garland. Rhoades, who replaced former athletic director Ian McCaw, who resigned amidst the Baylor sexual assault scandal, was introduced on July 19, 2016 as part of the Big 12 football media days.
At Big 12 Media Day, Garland said Rhoades was the right personnel decision for the athletic department and the university.
