Resume builders: Big 12 coaches discuss their path of least resistance to the College Football Playoff

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- In their second day of meetings, Big 12 coaches and ADs talked football scheduling.

Specifically, the Big 12 discussed the current model of nine league games plus a conference title game.

"What we should doing and what we should be encouraging others to do," Commissioner Bob Bowlsby said.

The ACC and SEC are the only power conferences that play just eight league games and are the only power conferences not to ever miss the College Football Playoff. The Big 12 has made the playoff in the two seasons since the return of its championship game.
