It appears the latest injury blow to the Dallas Mavericks will have a trickle-down effect on the roster.
Due to the calf injury point guard J.J. Barea suffered against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, the Mavericks will waive forward and Baylor alum Quincy Acy in order to make room for guard Jonathan Gibson, per Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Dallas' depth has been tested all season with the injuries to veterans Dirk Nowitzki and Deron Williams, but the latest hit to the guard position with Barea forced the Mavericks to make a move.
