Former Baylor quarterback Seth Russell is calling it a career, according to a report.
On Monday, the former Garland High standout told Sports Illustrated he was going to retire from football because of a nagging ankle injury that never recovered.
"It's been frustrating, but that's life," Russell told SI's Bruce Feldman. "You make a decision and I'm moving on."
Last season against Oklahoma State, Russell suffered a season-ending ankle injury against Oklahoma State that looked incredibly painful. It came one year after Russell's junior season ended because of a neck injury.
