The Baylor Bears have finally picked a starter for their season opener, going with Anu Solomon, according to a report.
Yahoo's Pete Thamel reports that Baylor coach Matt Rhule chose Solomon, a transfer from Arizona, over sophomore Zach Smith, who started the team's final four games last season.
Solomon left Arizona after graduating early. He comes to Baylor with plenty of experience. As a redshirt freshman in 2014, he led Arizona to the Pac-12 South title and the Fiesta Bowl, throwing for 3,793 yards and 28 touchdowns. Despite two concussions in 2015, he still finished with 2,667 yards and 20 touchdowns.
