Report: Baylor career-rushing leader Shock Linwood to skip Cactus Bowl to focus on NFL draft prep

Baylor running back Shock Linwood will skip the Bears' trip to play Boise State in the Cactus Bowl to focus on his preparation for the NFL draft, according to a report from the Waco Tribune Herald.

Linwood, a senior, set Baylor program records for career rushing yards and rushing touchdowns this season. He fell out of favor after interim head coach Jim Grobe took over for the fired Art Briles. He lost his starting job to sophomore Terence Williams and was suspended for the Oklahoma game by Grobe for "attitude issues" after he reportedly shoved an assistant coach on the sidelines during the Bears' loss to TCU.
