Former Baylor coach Art Briles told reporters last summer that he believed he would have a job for the 2017 season.
So far, that has not come to fruition.
Several athletic directors told 247sports.com's Travis Haney that Briles is "untouchable at the moment" after he was fired for Baylor for his alleged role in the school's sexual assault scandal.
Briles was fired in May after Baylor's football program was caught up in a wide sexual assault scandal. In November, Baylor regents revealed that the Pepper Hamilton Report found that Briles had known about a gang rape involving football players and failed to report it to the appropriate authorities.
