When the day began, Baylor had exactly one scholarship QB on its entire roster: Zach Smith. Now we apparently have three.
The first arrival was incoming true freshman Charlie Brewer, who enrolled early after graduating from Lake Travis, where he threw about 9000 TDs this season against -3 interceptions (actually 54 vs. 3, but I like what I said better). He’s following in the footsteps of Smith, Jarrett Stidham, Seth Russell, Nick Florence, and Robert Griffin by enrolling early to get a jump on spring practice this year.
The second is just about the exact opposite scenario: instead of a true freshman coming in early to get more time to be at Baylor, Arizona QB Anu Solomon will reportedly utilize the graduate transfer rule to be immediately eligible at Baylor for his final season of college ball.
