WACO -- As a recent transplant to the state, Anu Solomon can still be unnerved by an afternoon thunderstorm and fascinated by grocery products that claim to be Texas-made.
"You don't see anything like it in Vegas or Oregon," Solomon said, listing two previous stops in his journey.
In return, Solomon hopes to give Baylor something new as well at the start of the Matt Rhule era. He's one of several quarterbacks competing for the starting job going into the noon Saturday spring game at McLane Stadium, including Zach Smith, who started four games as a freshman, and early enrollee freshman Charlie Brewer.
