With hopes of returning to the Final Four for the first time since winning the national title in 2012, Baylor is on familiar ground entering the women's NCAA tournament.
The Bears (33-1), one of six Big 12 teams to make the field, landed the top seed in the Dallas Region. They will play their opening game against Idaho (24-9) at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Ferrell Center in Waco.
If they get through Saturday's game at home _ where they have swept first- and second-round games four of the past five seasons, the Bears will head 90 miles north on I-35 to Dallas, where they won the Big 12 tournament a year ago at American Airlines Center.
