Of the 31 players selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft (the New England Patriots did not have a first-round pick), only three were from Big 12 schools.
Baylor receiver Corey Coleman went 15th to the Cleveland Browns, TCU receiver Josh Doctson went 22nd to the Washington Redskins and West Virginia defensive back Karl Joseph went to the Oakland Raiders with the 14th pick.
The SEC led the way with eight first-round picks, followed by the Big Ten with six, the ACC with four and the Pac-12 with four.
