Out is Arizona grad transfer Anu Solomon. Back in the starting lineup is sophomore Zach Smith, who led the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl victory over Boise State -- Baylor's only win in its last nine games.
After falling to Liberty and UTSA at home, new coach Matt Rhule had to change things before a road game at Duke (2-0), and quarterback was the obvious position. Quarterback play had just been one of many reasons for the start -- but Solomon struggled against UTSA and has completed just 43.
