Baylor put the hurt to TCU on Saturday night, defeating them 90-64. Makai Mason had a career high with 40 points. Below are a few of my observations.
- I wasn’t around for Vinnie Johnson’s 50 points so I can’t say Mason’s performance was the best in Baylor history, but it was the best that I have ever seen. Obviously, it was his scoring that was incredible, fueled by an amazing shooting percentage (he was 14-20), but he also made some incredible assists and defensive plays. He deserves all the post-season accolades that he gets
- Give a lot of credit to Flo Thamba and Freddie Gillespie.
