WACO -- When he was starting at Yale, Makai Mason shot Baylor out of the NCAA Tournament three years ago.
Now the grad transfer's red-hot touch has helped make Baylor the Big 12's hottest team and a potentially dangerous opponent in March.
Look no further than what happened in Baylor's 90-64 Saturday win over TCU at the Ferrell Center. Mason just kept firing and kept hitting en route to nine 3-pointers and a career-high 40 points, the most by a Baylor player since LaceDarius Dunn scored 43 points in 2011.
"It's definitely a funny story... a little different," Mason said.
