Scott Smith, who has coached some of the premier programs in the Dallas area, has been named the football coach at Frisco Legacy Christian Academy, the school announced Tuesday. Legacy Christian is coming off a 3-7 season in TAPPS Division II.
"He will be a great role model and leader for not only our football players, but for the entire student body," Legacy head of school Bill McGee said in a press release.
Smith took his first head coaching job at Garland in 1985 and has been a head coach at Duncanville, Highland Park, Odessa Permian and Rockwall, as well as serving as the athletic director for Rockwall ISD from 2009 to 2012.
