Baylor soundly beat Boise State on Wednesday 31-12 largely thanks to the performance of wide receiver K.D. Cannon.
Cannon set a career high with 226 receiving yards and also caught two touchdowns. The junior was named the Cactus Bowl offensive MVP.
When he was presented with the MVP trophy, Cannon dedicated the win to Baylor fans and former head coach Art Briles, who was fired before the season for his role in Baylor's sexual assault scandal after he built BU into a Big 12 power.
"We just had to prove a point coming off a bad season.
