Baylor forward Johnathan Motley was named Big 12 Player of the Week on Monday. It is the fourth time the junior has won the award, the most in Baylor program history. He won the award two previous time this season and once in 2015-16.
In Baylor's wins over Texas and TCU last week, Motley averaged 23.5 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and 1.5 blocks. Though he struggled from the field against TCU, he scored 32 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in the win over Texas. It was the first 30-20 game in the Big 12 since Blake Griffin accomplished it with Oklahoma in 2009.
