WACO -- Months before they embarked on a potentially historic season, some of Baylor's women's basketball players climbed into a car to play volleyball.
To kill time on summer nights, they'd meet at a local apartment complex. Sometimes, other Baylor athletes and teams were there, too.
While it may sound like a leisure activity that doesn't have much to do with basketball, the offseason camaraderie helped set the foundation for Baylor's run to the Final Four of this year's NCAA tournament.
"We have the depth," junior forward Lauren Cox said. "We have the talent. We have the chemistry.
