TULSA -- When Ish Wainright looks at Baylor teammate Johnathan Motley, he's stunned by the transformation of the rail-thin freshman who arrived in Waco four years ago.
Now he sees something else: two inches taller to 6-10 and 40 pounds heavier at 240, along with next level potential.
Forget comparisons, at least to anything human.
"He's just a monster," Wainright said, with Baylor (25-7) set to open the NCAA tournament Friday in Tulsa (11:40 a.m. on truTV) as the third seed in the East against 14th-seeded New Mexico State (28-5).
"Godzilla, King Kong, that doesn't even compare.
