Former Irving MacArthur and Baylor basketball star Odyssey Sims, who now is on the roster for the Dallas Wings of the WNBA, is a finalist for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Wings teammate Skylar Diggins is also among the pool of 25 finalists, from which the official 12-member U.S. Olympic Team later will be selected later this year.
Sims led Baylor to the 2012 national championship and a 40-0 record. Baylor beat Diggins' Notre Dame team in the final.
The Wings will begin play this summer. Home games will be at the UT-Arlington's College Park Center, a 7,000-seat arena that is less than three miles from AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park.
