Former Baylor star Isaiah Austin has signed a professional deal with Serbia's FMP Belgrade of the Adriatic League to start his basketball comeback over two years after he was told he would never play professional basketball again.
Austin posted a video and message on his Facebook account to celebrate the achievement.
"After 2014 I was told this day would never come, but God is great and has been with me this whole time, so here I am! Signing my first professional basketball contract ever, and I am so grateful!" Austin wrote.
Austin was diagnosed with Marfan syndrome before the 2014 draft and told he could not continue playing basketball even though he was projected as a potential first-round pick.
