Just over a month after Kendal Briles was hired as Florida State's new offensive coordinator, the university released the details of his contract on Wednesday.
The former Baylor offensive coordinator is set to make $1 million annually in his three-year deal, $200,000 in base salary and $800,000 in additional compensation.
If Briles leaves for another job as a college assistant, he would owe the university $500,000. He would owe Florida State nothing if he left for an NFL job or a head college coaching job.
His deal makes him Florida State's second assistant coach to make at least a $1 million salary, joining defensive coordinator Harlon Barnett.
