Former Baylor coach Dave Bliss resigns from coaching job days after documentary about murder scandal

Former Baylor men's basketball coach Dave Bliss has resigned from his position as head coach at Southwestern Christian University.

Bliss' resignation comes days after the airing of Showtime documentary "Disgraced," about the murder of Baylor player Patrick Dennehy by teammate Carlton Dotson in 2003. Bliss resigned from Baylor after falsely portraying Dennehy as a drug dealer to cover up the fact that he paid for Dennehy's tuition to play at Baylor, an NCAA violation.

Bliss repeated the baseless accusations against Dennehy in "Disgraced" without offering any evidence.

Southwestern Christian president Reggies Wenyika released a statement regarding Bliss' resignation from the NCCAA program following two years.
