When the College Football Playoff Committee debuted its rankings tonight, undefeated Baylor checked in at No. 6. Many fans and media members criticized the Bears’ out-of-conference schedule or speculated that quarterback Seth Russell’s season-ending neck injury would cause the team to drop in the rankings.
However, CFP Committee Chairman Jeff Long said Russell’s health did not come into consideration.
