KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Like pretty much everyone else in college sports, Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby is following the federal corruption trial in New York involving college basketball and apparel company Adidas.
All three defendants were found guilty later Wednesday. Big 12 members Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma State all surfaced in testimony, with a lot of focus on the Jayhawks - even though no coaches or school administrators face charges.
"I think all the best parts of college athletics and all the worst parts of college athletics are embedded in college basketball," Bowlsby said at Big 12 media days.
