Big 12 clears Baylor after verification process of sex assault safeguards, fines school $2M for 'reputational damage to the conference'

The Big 12 has officially verified that Baylor has implemented all of its 105 Title IX recommendations following the sexual assault scandal that rocked the football program and school.

The good news for Baylor is the school is now in full compliance in the Big 12 and will be receiving full financial distributions going forward.

"We are appreciative of the Big 12's recognition of the significant progress that has been made across the Baylor campus, as well as of our unwavering commitment to the safety and security of our students," said Baylor's Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D., who became university president on June 1, 2017.
