When it comes to his quarterbacks, Baylor coach Matt Rhule is showing he doesn't have a quick hook.
He stayed with grad transfer Anu Solomon for two games before making the move to Zach Smith. Now, he plans to start Smith for the sixth consecutive game when Texas visits Saturday. The decision comes despite an electric fourth-quarter performance by freshman Charlie Brewer in a 38-36 loss to West Virginia.
Rhule confirmed Wednesday before Baylor's practice that he will go with Smith against the Longhorns and a defense that held Oklahoma State to one touchdown.
"Zach will start, pending something happening today or [Thursday]," Rhule told reporters.
