Hardly anyone expected Jim Grobe to still be on Baylor's sideline following the 2016 football season.
The former Wake Forest coach was called out of retirement this spring to head to Waco for an interim term, replacing former coach Art Briles. All the travel and retirement plans Grobe put on hold for the fall can resume next spring.
According to the Waco Tribune-Herald, Grobe told reporters on the weekly Big 12 teleconference that he was not going to coach next season.
Baylor (6-5, 3-5 Big 12) closes the regular season this weekend against West Virginia (9-2, 6-2).
