As usual, Baylor had little trouble scoring against its opponent Saturday. As is not usual, one of the team’s touchdowns was scored by a man who weighs 410 pounds.
That man would be LaQuan McGowan, a fifth-year behemoth who actually plays tight end for the Bears. In the first half of Saturday’s contest against Kansas, McGowan proved why Baylor would decide to line up the biggest player on the field at a skill position.
Not only did McGowan haul in quarterback Seth Russell’s pass with effortless grace, he also nimbly maneuvered around a Jayhawks defensive back en route to an impressive 18-yard touchdown.
