Baylor still waiting for word on Russell injury By JOHN WERNER jwerner@wacotrib.com Waco Tribune-Herald
Baylor coach Art Briles said Monday morning that he’s still waiting on definitive word on quarterback Seth Russell’s status following a neck injury.
Russell was diagnosed with a broken bone in his neck after No. 2 Baylor’s 45-27 win over Iowa State on Saturday. Briles said Russell went to a specialist at 10 a.m. Monday, and should know how long he will be out of the lineup this afternoon.
If Russell can’t play, freshman Jarrett Stidham would start for the Bears at Kansas State on Nov.
