Citing personal and family issues, receiver Jared Atkinson announced Sunday on Twitter that he will not be in school for the fall semester.
"I will most definitely be back to Baylor soon," Atkinson said in a statement. "I really just need this time off and to be close to my family." Later, his mother, Mo Atkinson, confirmed on Twitter that she is battling breast cancer and thanked Baylor coach Matt Rhule and the program for supporting her son.
