Baylor QB Russell undergoes successful neck surgery
Baylor junior quarterback Seth Russell underwent neck surgery on Friday after he suffered damage to his cervical vertebra in a 45-27 win over Iowa State last Saturday.
Typical recovery for his injury is six months.
“The doctor felt good about the surgery and everything went as planned throughout the procedure,” Baylor athletic trainer Mike Sims said. “Seth will now begin the road to healing and recovery.”
Russell is leading the nation in passing efficiency after throwing for 2,104 yards and 29 touchdowns through seven games.
