After impressing during his freshman season in 2017, Charlie Brewer had to compete with incoming graduate transfer Jalen McClendon for the starting quarterback job through the first three games of the season.
With McClendon now gone, head coach Matt Rhule made it known that Brewer is the full-fledged starter.
"Now is the time for him to take next step and be one of the best players in the Big 12," Rhule said in an interview with SportsDay's Chuck Carlton.
Still, Baylor has restocked its quarterback depth chart with young talent. Here is an outlook at Baylor's quarterbacks for 2019:
Key returnees: Charlie Brewer (Junior, 6-1, 202), Gerry Bohanon (Freshman, 6-2, 224)
